The Week Ahead and Beyond
This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday After Pentecost. It is also Father's Day. Linda's message will be on “From Pain to Promise.” Aran Garnett-Deakin and Killion Webster will be providing the offering of music. After worship, we will enjoy lemonade, perhaps on the lawn.
Linda will be participating at General Assembly from June 22 until July 3. On Sunday, June 28, Jan McGilliard, a commissioned lay pastor and member of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, will preach. On Sunday, July 5, Lucian will lead the worship service.

General Assembly Information
The the 227th General Assembly meets from June 22 to July 2, a meeting that is held every two years to shape the theology, governance, and mission priorities of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Linda is serving on the Theological Education and Ordination Committee. She will be out of the office and unavailable for the first week, which is all-day zoom meetings of the committee. She will then travel to Milwaukee for the second week in-person meeting, along with John McCarthy and Laura Jane Ramsburg, the other two commissioners from the Presbytery of the Peaks, and Dave Baker, who will be serving as staff support. Always remember that General Assembly is US--commissioners from every Presbytery are elected to serve, and their call is to learn, think, pray, and seek the will of God for us now. Please keep the GA in your prayers, especially our commissioners.
Pray for: Energy for the long days Patience with the technology, travel and one another Discernment and Wisdom as they listen for and follow where the Spirit leads

Bulletin Lite
Like everything else, the cost of paper has gone up. To reduce printing costs and to be good stewards of the environment, we will be doing a trial run this summer with a half-sheet bulletin. It will show the order of worship so people can know what's coming next in the service but all the words to responses and hymns will be on the screen. Please provide feedback to the church office after Sunday.
The full bulletin is attached to the eUpdate email for those who wish to print it at home.
